Yes, we’ll be celebrating Valentine’s Day in 4th grade. I’ll send home a list of the names of the kids in our class. I’ll also send a paper bag for your child to decorate at home.
We’ll celebrate on Thursday, February 13th, so make sure the bags are here by that time. (We don’t have school on Friday so we can’t have our party then.) We’ll be using them to collect our Valentines. I’d prefer that we keep the Valentines and the bags at home until the 14th so I don’t have to find a place to store all of them, but if this is inconvenient, don’t worry, we’ll figure something out!
Finally, please make sure that your child has a Valentine for each classmate so no one is left out.

When I make these kinds of mistakes (all too often, I’m afraid!) I tell the kids that it’s because I have a brain that is over 50 years old. And that sometimes things that are over 50 years old don’t work the same way they once did. 🙂
